Update Naviance profile, college list and complete BLA – Senior Information Form (more information to follow) You cannot apply to college without using Naviance
Early action/decision applicants see your counselor ASAP- You must notify your counselor by October 7th!
Confirm if colleges accept the Common Application or if you can apply online (You should apply online for all colleges)
Identify/ask 1 or 2 teachers for recommendations.
Register for SATs - (September(NEW), October, and November, and December) – See your college counselors for fee waivers if applicable

Request teacher recommendations through Naviance after asking your teacher/s.
Begin writing college applications and finish college essays.
Work on filling out the Common App and/or other online college applications.
You must notify your counselor you are applying early by October 7th in order to allow enough time to write recommendations.

Submit SAT or ACT scores to your colleges, if applicable.
Transcript requests through Naviance for Regular Decision application deadlines are due to your counselor by November 10th.

Check your email for confirmation messages from colleges. Save these messages or star them in your inbox.
Create online portals for each college. The colleges should send you an email with information about your account. Keep track of your usernames and passwords.
Check your portals for each college to make sure there is no missing information from your application. Confirm that they received your application, recommendations, transcript, and financial aid forms.
March-May
Review financial aid letters with your School Counselor or Mr. Baxter
Check Email/Naviance daily for scholarship information and guidance announcements
Update college acceptances/rejections through Naviance
