Voice of Democracy-October 31, 2020 The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. Thiel Fellowship Program-Any time The Thiel Fellowship is a two-year, $100,000 grant for young people who want to build new things instead of sit in a classroom.Fellows receive $100,000, spread out over two years. Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship-November 15, 2020 The Most Valuable Student scholarship is available to high school seniors who are United States citizens. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. Applications are judged on academics, leadership, service and financial need. James Alan Cox Foundation-November 15, 2020 High school students applying for these scholarships must have completed one year at an accredited high school (student must therefore be a sophomore or older) and should have taken at least one photography or related art class. Five (5) Digital SLR Cameras will be awarded to five (5) high school students. HS applicants should only submit still photographs. Around January and April 2021 The Real World Design Challenge (RWDC) is an annual high school competition run by a public-private partnership with the goal of sustainably increasing the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. The partners are focused on working within the context of the American educational system to transform STEM education in the United States by providing professional science and engineering and learning resources to students and teachers. Every teacher that participates in the RWDC gets $1 million in professional engineering software along with training, curriculum materials, and access to mentors. Teams of 3-7 high school students use these resources to solve an engineering challenge that is currently faced by industry. Students first compete in a state level Governor's Cup. The team with the best design is invited to Washington, DC to compete in the national finals. The Challenges have all been focused on the aerospace industry so far, but as the RWDC grows, we will add other content areas as well. We are constantly looking for new partner organizations, states, and school teams to participate. Learning Ally's National Achievement Award-November 30, 2020 Learning Ally offers three endowed scholarship awards for outstanding students with print and learning disabilities The recipients of these awards are role models of success and inspiration to students throughout the country. The top winners from each program receive a financial scholarship award and are highlighted nationally. Dr. Quan Andrade Jr. Scholarship-November 30, 2020 The Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for young Hispanic Leaders seeks to recognize Hispanic students who share Dr. Andrade’s lifelong commitment to servant leadership. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students for the Fall 2021 – Spring 2022 academic year. This includes high school seniors, college freshman, sophmores, and juniors. Recipients will receive a non-renewable scholarship: An academic scholarship ($1,000 for a 4-year institution or $500 for a 2-year institution) for undergraduate students. Students have the opportunity to receive a $2,500, $10,000 or $25,000 scholarship. Rubicam Youth Writing Competition-December 15, 2020 These awards encourage and recognize our youth as the next generation of family historians.The awards may be given annually to a student in either the junior category (grades 6-8) or senior category (grades 9-12) for an appropriately prepared genealogy. Odenza Marketing Group Volunteer Award-December 31, 2021 The purpose of the Odenza Marketing Group Volunteer Award is to encourage students to make a positive contribution to their individual communities, while providing scholarship awards to those who have done so over the previous 12 months. The winning group will receive a $500 scholarship award. Wealth Wise Scholarship-December 31, 2020 Wealth Wise Scholarship is open to US undergraduate(future college students are eligible, ie. HS seniors) and graduate students seeking a career in the finance industry.Minimum GPA of 3.5, and Major of study must support a career in the finance industry (e.g., finance, business, accounting, mathematics, management, and other related majors). The scholarship amount is $1,000 and will be awarded based on academic merit and submission of a short essay to be titled How the US Credit Scoring System Can Be Improved. Shred Nations Scholarship Program- December 31, 2020 Shred Nations and Record Nations are Colorado based companies dedicated to promoting economic success of businesses in the shredding and secure destruction or management industries. The Shred Nations and Record Nations Scholarship is an annual award of up to $7,500 to offset the costs of higher education. Applicants must have completed secondary school, or currently be a senior in a secondary school.Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with an interest in business, environmental studies, document management or the shredding and recycling industry.Applicants will be required to submit a nomination from an i-SIGMA member. i-SIGMA members will be comprised of any employee or owner of an i-SIGMA member company. Comcast Leaders and Achievement Scholarship Program- December 2020(TBD) The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes high school seniors for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills. It provides scholarships to give young people the opportunity to continue their education to better compete in tomorrow’s workplace, and you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Through the generous support of GE, this national program annually awards $10,000 renewable scholarships to numerous students. Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Program. Boston Mensa Foundation Scholarship-January 2021(TBD) Boston resident. The Mensa Foundation is a clearinghouse for a number of scholarships. By completing the application, you will automatically be considered for a number of scholarships. Live Mas Scholarship-January 2021(TBD) This scholarship is for young innovators, creators and dreamers (ages 16-24) who want to share his/her/their passion and receive support to pursue this passion through a higher educational outlet. This is not needs or obstacle based; it is a passion-based scholarship program. Submit an original video that tells us the story of your real, driving passion. It could be a short film, animation or just a simple testimonial. Your video must be a maximum of 2 minutes in length (minimum of 30 seconds in length) and must be no larger than 100 MB to ensure successful upload to the application. AWM & Math for America Scholarship-February 1, 2020 The Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and Math for America co-sponsor an essay contest for biographies of contemporary women mathematicians and statisticians in academic, industrial, and government careers. The essays will be based primarily on an interview with a woman currently working in a mathematical sciences career. The winners (including honorable mentions) receive a monetary prize, a membership in the Association for Women in Mathematics, a certificate, and their name and affiliation published in the Newsletter for the AWM. Hispanic Scholarship Fund- February 1, 2021 The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) empowers Latino families with the knowledge and resources needed to successfully complete a higher education, and provides scholarships and support services to as many exceptional Hispanic American students as possible. Life Lesson Scholarship-March 1, 2021 A college education is already a major financial challenge for most American families, but it becomes infinitely more difficult for a student when a parent dies, leaving little or no life insurance.Life insurance is an important financial safety net that parents can leave their families. Unfortunately nearly 100 million Americans don’t have life insurance, and most with coverage have far less than recommended. Recognizing the character and perseverance that so many young people show in the face of such adversity, Life Happens sponsors the annual Life Lessons Scholarship Program for college students and college-bound high school seniors. Qualified entrants who submit essays or videos about how the death of a parent impacted their lives are eligible for scholarship money. Over two million dollars in college scholarships have been awarded over the years. The total of scholarships for the 2019 Program is $200,000; check back in 2020 for details on allocation amounts. Boston Pearl Foundation Scholarship-March, 2021(TBD) Massachusetts high school senior student of color, 3.0 GPA minimum. Journalism Education Foundation of New England-March 2021(TBD) The New England Newspaper and Press Association awards up to 10 scholarships each year to aspiring journalists through the Journalism Education Foundation of New England. Our foundation strives to encourage and support young people who plan to pursue a career in the newspaper industry. College students or high school seniors who are studying and acquiring work experience that will prepare them to work in the field of journalism are eligible to apply. Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation-March 2021(TBD) The Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation was created to help deserving young men and women excel in their quest to improve themselves, their school or their community.The scholarship is available to any high school student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is awarded on the basis of need, and is not academically based. In addition, the Foundation will give more serious consideration to those students who have made efforts to make a difference in their communities and/or have shown leadership qualities within their school or community. Massachusetts Police Foundation Scholarship-March 30, 2021 This scholarship is available to the children of active or retired members in good standing of the Mass Police Association. Lowell L. Richards III Memorial Scholarship-April 2021(TBD) Resident of the City of Boston, Chelsea, Revere or Winthrop. Boston Public high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Involved in community service, interested in pursuing Government, Public Administration, Management, Planning, Architecture, or Design College Club of Boston Scholarship-April 2021(TBD) Seniors in Boston’s public high schools, and admitted to accredited, not-for-profit colleges or universities (including junior colleges, community colleges, and conservatories). Students must demonstrate scholastic ability, financial need, and participation in school and community affairs. Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships-April 2021(TBD) BAM will award three (3) US $5,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology. The scholarships are renewable – each winner who continues to meet the criteria is eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total $20,000 scholarship. Up to 24 scholarship runners-up will be eligible for a one-time $2,500 BAM technology stipend based on need.
