CSS Profile

CSS Profile(College Scholarship Service)

  • Opens Oct. 1st
  • Operated by the College Board
  • For ALL residents
  • Collects an in depth look at finances, including income, assets, debts, etc.
  • Required information from 2 biological parents
  • Can fill out a Non Custodial Parent Waiver as well
  • Used by majority of Private Institutions
  • Qualifies you for Institutional Aid
  • It also includes a Fee( but you may receive a fee waiver if you are you received a SAT fee waiver, The parental income you reported on your application is approximately $45,000 or less for a family of four, or you are an orphan or ward of the court under the age of 24.

Do all Colleges Utilize The FAFSA? 

Not every college requires it, but nearly 400 colleges do, so be sure to check the list of schools to determine whether or not you need to complete the application. It is also important to see if the school requires students of divorced parents to complete the additional Noncustodial Profile. 

Deadline?

​Please understand that there is no universal CSS Profile deadline. Instead, it depends on your school and whether you’re applying as an early decision student, or a regular admission student. 
Here is the time frame for undergraduate students:
  • Early decision deadline: November
  • Regular decision deadline: January or February
  • Returning student deadline: April
