Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Program You must Identify as Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. CensusScholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who:Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status; Are the first in their families to attend college; Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity; and have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement. Gates Scholarship The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship that is awarded to the top 300 students in the US, in which the winners will receive funding for the full cost of attendance of any accredited institution. Korean American Scholarship Foundation KASF scholarships (which range from $500 to $5,000) are offered to the qualified Korean American students (including foreign students from Korea). All applicants must be enrolled in a full time program in the U.S during the scholarship application year. If extra funds are available, other students (non Koreans) may qualify for scholarships. Specifically, descendants of American veterans served during the Korean War may qualify for scholarships (applicable to selective regions). Taiwanese Scholarship Funds Created in 2014, TASF (Taiwanese American Scholarship Fund) supports economically challenged students of Taiwanese descent residing in the U.S. with their pursuit of higher education.
